Coming from a wonderful writer like yourself I am really flattered. I can identify with a lot of what you've written, but in a different context, natch...;-)

“It’s hard to explain. It’s like, I’ve lived you’re father’s life for so long that I’ve actually become him."

Did you realize that those are famous words you wrote? Well, not exactly the same, but it's what Catherine says about Heathcliffe in Wuthering Heights. Catherine is Heathcliff. She has lost her 'me'... but in a transcendental sort of way, it's OK, tho' creepy.

Your second paragraph, about only your memories tying you to your hometown, is wonderful. Sad, but OK too. Memories that are powerful enough to make you want to stay around are loaded with meaning. And I suppose that's what life is about, having a sense of meaning.
Thanks for sharing your bio.Sylviahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01104063373122049938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1616769513702255459.post-70396972011813519522009-09-12T09:14:33.985-03:002009-09-12T09:14:33.985-03:00Thanks for sharing your thoughts, my friend. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, my friend.Dan Newlandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01054536465220812092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1616769513702255459.post-15711479399179415802009-09-11T14:06:51.660-03:002009-09-11T14:06:51.660-03:00Warm, bittersweet memories while reading your post...Warm, bittersweet memories while reading your post.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11841065503958803158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1616769513702255459.post-7907003421297176512009-09-11T13:48:18.573-03:002009-09-11T13:48:18.573-03:00It means a lot to me to hear from my readers both ...It means a lot to me to hear from my readers both through your comments here and through my Facebook connection.
